Fukuko Ayama serves as the Director of Curriculum Implementation for LearningLeaders, a Hong Kong and Shanghai-based consulting firm specializing in professional skills training and lifelong educational services. At LearningLeaders, her main roles are coaching young adults and professionals and establishing innovative online learning environments for all members of the LearningLeaders community.
Previous to joining LearningLeaders, Fukuko was an Associate at J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America Merrill Lynch specializing in Asian Equity Sales. Her main role was to provide investment ideas to fund managers across the world, particular in the Asian Equity space. She spent her finance career in Tokyo, London, and Hong Kong before moving to Shanghai to join the LearningLeaders team. During her time at J.P. Morgan and BAML, she also led the recruiting committee mentoring interns and university graduates.
Fukuko is also a member of the Tufts University Alumni network and International School communities in Beijing and Tokyo. At Tufts, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. During her free time, she served as the president of Japanese Culture Club and Pan Asia Club Council, and volunteered as a Beyond Benign Outreach Fellow teaching Green Chemistry at local middle schools and high schools.
Fukuko currently resides in Shanghai and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
