We have competitions that allow LL students to engage with students from all over the world and competitions exclusive to LL students.
We have different types of LL-held competitions for students to attend.
The first type is an internal competition holding at the end of each season, it includes Public Speaking divisions and Debate divisions. Students can apply their learned knowledge and compete with other LL students. After each round of competition, they will receive detailed feedback from LL-selected judges, and seek for even more feedback from their coaches.
The second type of competition is WSDL, which is suitable for students who are familiar with World Schools debate format. Although it is a LL-held competition, students need to partner with other students in their schools and to compete as school teams. It is a semi-annual tournament happening between September - November AND March - May.
The third type of competition is CABP, which is suitable for students who are familiar with British Parliamentary debate format. It happens during the winter time (between November and February). Teams attending this competition will have the opportunity to compete in Cambridge Schools Debate in March.
Students will receive information from their coaches in class and a competition calendar.
