Established in the fall of 1981, the Harvard College Debating Union (HCDU) is Harvard University's only internationally competitive debate association and currently holds the title of top-ranked debate team in the USA.
In 2021, LearningLeaders and the HCDU partnered to create the World Schools Debating League (WSDL), now the largest Schools Debating League in Asia.
The World Schools Debating League is the largest and most diverse schools debating league in the world.
WSDL Asia is heldonlineacross selected Wednesday evenings after school, and open to middle and high school students from21 countries and territoriesacross Asia. The top teams are invited to contestFinals Weekendnear the end of the semester.
WSDL is also a uniqueeducational opportunity, with students having the chance to learn from some of the world's mostexperienceddebate professionals. Between them, our organizers and judges have participated inhundreds of competitions- as tournament conveners, chief adjudicators, national team coaches - andchampion debaters.
All CABP events are non-profit. 100% of proceeds are allocated to host the events, secure top quality adjudicators, and to provide scholarships for students who are unable to pay full registration fees.
